My OC Harry, and her's Skye are quite good friends. But with one distinct difference. Skye is immortal. Harry is not.

Talking about it they began to compare immortality to mortality, the certainty of death to the guarantee of life.

Harry replied with this:

Consider this. A mortal, a criminal, commits crimes and is eventually caught and sentenced to death, his life ends quickly. In comparision, a immortal, who channels every second of his life to helping people and doing good. Who ends up with cherishing life more? The criminal in that his death is quick and painless or the immortal knowing that he'd spent every second doing the best he could with what he had?

The answer is a matter of perspective but the idea is... it doesn't matter if you live one year or a thousand years, what matters is making the most of the time given to us, to make it a life you won't regret.
